A Journey To A New Home

Shabnam has been an embroidery artisan at Aashiyana Co–operative for over 21 years. "I always try to save whatever money I can every month because I have seen that emergencies don't tell you they are coming. Also, I really want my younger sons to pursue their higher education, and this requires money."

She has always been very careful with money and spending wisely. As the children have grown, Shabnam and her husband began planning to buy a house. Currently, their house is extremely small and not in a good neighborhood. They have found a flat in the suburb Nallasopara, where homes are more affordable. Shabnam contributed Rs. 30,000 from her own earnings to buy the new home and she is looking forward to settling in someday.

Comfortable Dress

This is a roomy dress and yet it fits correctly under my arms. I liked the dress I bought two and would buy three if the other color were available in my size. I wear it to teach but I could just as easily wear it to the grocery store.

I love the Supriya dresses and own three. This is a sophisticated print that works for summer or winter, but I advise against pairing it with the matching jacket, because for me it was a lot of "look."

Flows and fits

I love how comfortable this dress is; the fabric is soft and flows nicely as I move. The colors in the embroidery are fun and draw in other colors, so it goes with many of my long-sleeve t-shirts. I bought it to go with a particular jacket and the print was just a little too busy for that to work, however, I like the dress itself so much that I decided to keep it anyway and it's now one of my go-to dresses. I ended up buying this same dress but in black to go with that jacket!
