Working For Independence
Artisan discussion meetings have covered a wide range of issues over the years. Recently the theme has been about the values that are most important to the women. One of the qualities that came up repeatedly in the talks was Independence. These women have fought hard for the right to make their own decisions and have their voices heard. Seema shared that for her, “Independence means being able to work and support my family and making a home and identity for myself in Mumbai.”

A pretty purple print

A really interesting print, but it doesn't shout. In fact, it's quite elegant. I love purple and will enjoy being "pretty in purple."
