Sacrificing for Education
The artisans place a high priority on educating their children, which comes with a price tag. Even free schools require funds for books, exams and uniforms. Many of the artisans have opted to pay for private English-medium schools, a growing choice in India. Public schools are often poor-quality and use the local language, but English-speakers are given preference for jobs. Standardized tests based on rote learning are crucial in this super-competitive system, requiring the help of paid tutors.

These pants rock!
Aug 23, 2020
By Joanne Artz
I have several pairs of Kesari pants bought over the last three years. But these green and black are without a doubt the classiest of all, with a perfect and flattering fit. I can wear them for any occasion, casual or dressed up with accessories. Green's my favorite color, and combined with black, is very sophisticated. I'm short, so the fact that these pants are flood length makes them be the perfect full length for me. Please don't ever stop using the Kesari design!
