Easy kaftan dress with drop shoulders, made in autumn-weight twill that gives it a bit of body. Hand embroidered chindi patchwork yoke. Side slits. Chindi patchwork colors and patterns may vary due to the variety of upcycled fabrics. Generously sized -- one size fits most.

Renewing Materials, New Lives

MarketPlace's Chindi collection makes scraps stylish while training new artisans. The chindi, small fabric pieces left over from cutting garments, are recycled into new clothing, accessories and embellishments in a variety of ways. After being cut into uniform pieces, the chindi are sewn together by trainees learning to sew straight and accurate seams on the sewing machines. Look for the C sign next to products to see the creative ways the artisans have incorporated chindis.

Perfect for fall

Love this garment! It's comfortable, just the right weight for fall and for layering later on. Also, it can be either a dress or tunic with pants or leggings. I'd buy it in more colors if available.
