Kalamkari:
The word Kalamkari is derived from a Persian word where 'kalam' means pen and 'kari' refers to craftsmanship. Initially Kalamkari fabrics were hand painted but today wooden carved blocks are used. Kalamkari textiles were a prized trading commodity throughout Asia and Europe for hundreds of years. This traditional art has survived among dedicated artisans in southern India who follow the age–old techniques and natural dye recipes of this painstaking process. The process can involve 23 steps each requiring precision and an eye for detailing.

I bought a 2x in this dress and it fits perfectly. I can wear this year round by adding a jacket or sweater. I'm partial to short sleeves because long sleeve garments never fit right and are too small. And I love 100% Cotton! I don't buy or like items that have other materials woven in, they just don't feel good. So I'm super glad to find wonderful products on Marketplace and have purchased a lot of dresses from the Ware and Sahara Collective that are my size and made of 100% Cotton! Thanks

I was delighted with my purchase. The design is perfect, with pockets and shoulder straps that cover my bra straps. The relaxed fit is very comfortable for hot weather. The fabric is beautiful and of excellent quality, and the details add charm. The workmanship is better than on many of the new clothes I buy, clearly done with care. I am happy that I bought my sun dress in Misses Petite, even though I wanted Petite. Petite was not available, and summer was here!

This dress fits and looks great when you get it. It fits perfectly around the armholes which is always a challenge, perfect knee length and the cotton is both soft and yet firm so nothing required under it. I was not sure about the colours but they look great on! Love this dress and it will be something I wear often.
