Ranphul Mahila Mandal Cooperative (RMM)

  • Meaning of name: Translates to “Forest of Flowers Women’s Cooperative”
  • Established: 2014
  • Location: A remote area surrounded by flower fields
  • Membership: 14 members (5 tailors, 9 embroidery artisans)

RMM was created to bring employment to a remote region where women previously worked long hours in flower fields or collected wildflowers. Despite the logistical challenges of organizing in such an area, the group has thrived. Many founding members are still active, and the group now runs a savings program in addition to regular production.
