Artisan Day: A Celebration of Unity and Creativity

Each spring, the talented women who hand‐embroider clothing eagerly anticipate Artisan Day, a gathering of twelve women‐run cooperatives. After being canceled in recent years due to COVID, Artisan Day returned in full splendor this past May.

Over 200 women, dressed in colorful sarees and with flowers in their hair, greeted each other with huge smiles, filling the room with energy. The highlight of the day was each cooperative performing its own choreographed dance, celebrating their group's values and identity. These artisan cooperatives have grown into much more than workplaces.

Delightful Jacket

I love this jacket. Though I haven't worn it yet, I know I'll wear it a lot as so many features about it appeal to me: the lapel v-neckline, patch pockets, the soft natural fabric, the colors and print, and both body and sleeve lengths. It's really perfect!

I am very happy with this little summer weight jacket. It will add some class to my t shirt and jeans routine, or over a dress take it to a more elegant level.
I am a 12 size wise and ordered medium as I wanted a more cropped looked rather than the over sized look. Thank you all who made this sweet item.
