Prioritizing Health: Medical Camp for Women Artisans

A medical health camp was organized in collaboration with a nearby hospital to address common but often overlooked health concerns among women artisans. Many tend to deprioritize their well‐being, neglecting issues such as anemia, body aches, and fatigue.

During the camp, each woman had a one‐on‐one consultation with a doctor, who documented her health concerns and performed basic tests as needed. Personalized medical advice was given based on individual conditions, and in cases requiring further evaluation, referrals were made to the hospital for additional tests.

Beyond addressing immediate health issues, the camp emphasized the importance of proactive self‐care. A general session highlighted the benefits of regular exercise and a balanced diet, encouraging women to recognize and respond to early symptoms rather than ignoring them.

Looking ahead, plans are in place for specialized health camps focused on gynecological care, eye check‐ups, and early disease detection to ensure continued support for the artisans' well‐being.
