Creative Recycling: A World Environment Day Fashion Show
The Zero Waste program, now in its third year, involves women collecting daily‐use plastic, which is then picked up by recycling organizations. The program has included numerous sessions on the environmental impact of plastic and even visits to a recycling plant.
In 2024, to celebrate World Environment Day, they held a fashion show where mothers and their children showcased creations made from recycled materials. They designed planters, paper flowers, pencil holders, and bags, all reusing materials. A community event was held to raise awareness and celebrate their efforts.
