A button-front reversible jacket with a back pleat and a graceful sweep. The deep grey and red floral print reverses to grey Shibori tie-dye on yarn-dye woven stripes. Hand embroidery highlights on both sides. Generously cut - consider sizing down for a less oversized look.

Ghar Udyog Collective Define Their Brand

Ghar Udyog is situated in Uttan, roughly 46 km from Mumbai. Located on the coast, the surrounding area is a fairly rural area and Uttan is like a large village. This group consists of 13 tailors, 14 embroidery artisans and one supervisor. It's an interesting mixture of young and older women who originate from different parts of India. While the sewing is done at Uttan, the embroidery artisans live in Bhavander, a short distance away. The geography makes it imperative that everyone can communicate clearly and frequently with their cooperative members and staff in Mumbai. They are very committed to all the social programs for personal development and social improvement. They are also good at locating useful resources in their community. They feel these aspects describe them:

Love it - quality great and reversible too

I really love this jacket so much, I'm impressed! The quality of the fabric and patterns is really nice. I read the sizing and wanted a relaxed fit. My shoulders are 19-19.5" wide, and I'm not a small person. My waist is 40, bust 46, hip 50. Size 1W is really comfortable and will allow me to wear longer sleeves underneath if I want, and looks great unbuttoned or buttoned. I wanted a bit of a relaxed fit. Length is perfect and will go nicely with jeans or leggings. I'm excited to look for and get another piece.

Great Pattern Surprise Stitching

The reversible jacket is double fabric so it's a good weight for NE United States. Pockets and buttons are on both sides, extra button, too. Everything is the right length for me at 5.4" tall. The beautiful stitch design is hard to find which adds extra beauty of the garment. The picture is true to the garment, and I can't wait to wear it with the corresponding T-shirt this spring. I just know this will garnish many compliments from friends and strangers.
