Our organization encompasses and connects community, personal fulfilment and the environment. The act of making these garments and earning a living is a catalyst for the women to find financial and emotional support, joy and a sense of belonging to both their cooperative and their greater community. They find that they have the power to improve the world, from getting their children a good education to using social activism to make their neighborhoods better.
They take pride in their high-quality work, with beautiful artisan fabrics and hand embroidery. The women have taken environmental awareness to heart both at work and at home. They support using recycled yarn, natural dyes and organic cotton in their workshops. At home they are reducing plastic use and joining with their neighbors to recycle waste.
